Commercial & Industrial Lighting Installation and Upgrades Across the UK
Large-scale lighting projects require specialist capability. We are a UK-based lighting installation company that designs, supplies and installs commercial and industrial lighting systems throughout the UK. Because we manufacture our own high-performance LED fittings, we control specification, cost and quality at every stage, delivering performance and cost efficiency that standard contractors simply can’t match.
So, whether you need a complete warehouse lighting installation or a strategic energy efficiency project, Ecolighting UK delivers practical solutions that improve performance and reduce operating costs, meeting your project timelines and budgets.
We’ve completed over 6000 installations across commercial and industrial environments. We manage projects of all scales, from single-site installations through to multi-location programmes. Our team of experienced commercial lighting installers understands what large-scale projects need: clear communication and reliable delivery.
Lighting Installation Services
Warehouse Lighting Installation
We design and install complete lighting systems for warehouses and large storage facilities. Our high bay fittings are engineered for 5m to 20m mounting heights and deliver the lumen output commercial operations demand. We handle full design, supply and warehouse lighting installation, working to your project timeline and specification.
Industrial Lighting Systems
Manufacturing plants and industrial facilities have demanding lighting requirements. EcoUK designs reliable commercial lighting systems that deliver consistent illumination in challenging environments and manages installations with minimal disruption to production. Ecolighting UK engineers are experienced working in live industrial settings.
Commercial Lighting Installation
Office buildings and commercial units require professional commercial lighting installation. We deliver complete projects from design to commissioning, ensuring reliable lighting that meets regulations and creates the right environment for your business.
LED System Design & Installation
We design complete LED lighting systems tailored to your facility and operational needs. Our engineers carry out site surveys, assess requirements and deliver designs optimised for performance and cost efficiency. Installation is managed professionally with minimal disruption to your operation.
Upgrade & Retrofit Services
LED Upgrades
Outdated lighting systems waste money and create performance problems. We upgrade existing installations to modern high efficiency LED solutions, improving efficiency while improving light output. As experienced commercial lighting installers, we handle the full process from design to installation while minimising disruption to your operation.
Lighting Retrofit Projects
Large-scale retrofit projects require careful planning and specialist expertise. As a national lighting installation company, we manage retrofit programmes across multiple facilities and complex single-site projects, coordinating installation schedules while keeping your facility operational throughout the work.
Energy Efficiency Improvements
Reducing energy consumption requires more than switching to LED. We conduct lighting audits and recommend upgrades that deliver meaningful cost savings. We also calculate payback periods and show you exactly what you’ll save, with most upgrades paying for themselves within less than 18 months.
Replacement of Outdated Systems
Legacy lighting systems rely on outdated technology and consume excessive energy. We replace fluorescent installations and older high bay systems with modern high efficiency LED solutions, reducing energy costs while improving light quality and overall commercial lighting system performance.

The Process
The Lighting Installation Process
1
Site Survey & Assessment
We carry out a full site survey, including lux level readings, area measurements, ceiling heights, and the locations of existing lighting and cabling. We’ll also request recent electricity bills to help assess current energy usage.
2
System Design & Proposal
We create a detailed Relux lighting design in line with CIBSE, Part L, and BS EN 12464 standards. You’ll receive a comprehensive quotation including projected energy savings, return on investment (ROI), and CO₂ reduction figures.
3
Specification & Supply
our dedicated Project Manager will visit site to coordinate all project details, identify any site restrictions, produce RAMS documentation in line with HSE requirements, and agree a suitable installation programme. Our in-house BS7671 qualified engineers will carry out the installation around your operation to minimise disruption.
4
Professional Installation
Our qualified engineers manage installation professionally. We plan around your operation, minimise disruption and ensure your facility remains operational. Safety is paramount, and all work meets current building regulations and electrical standards.
5
Qualified, compliant and accredited
Our team is fully qualified to current electrical regulations, and we maintain the highest standards.
6
Testing & Commissioning
Once installed, we test systems thoroughly, commission all controls and verify performance. We provide all documentation, warranties and training your teams need to operate and maintain the system.
7
Aftercare & Support
We remain available for ongoing support, maintenance and any questions about your new lighting system. We can provide planned maintenance contracts if required.

Commercial Benefits of Modern Lighting Systems
Reduced Energy Costs
Modern LED lighting consumes significantly less energy than outdated systems. A typical warehouse retrofit reduces lighting energy consumption by 50 to 70 per cent. For a large facility, that means substantial annual savings that accumulate year on year.
Improved Visibility
Better lighting improves productivity and safety. Modern high efficiency LED commercial lighting systems deliver superior light quality and create safer working environments. Your team will notice the difference immediately.
Safer Working Environments
Good lighting is fundamental to workplace safety. Emergency lighting and reliable system performance reduce accidents and create safer operations. Modern LED systems are more reliable than legacy alternatives and can include integrated emergency lighting options.
Lower Maintenance Costs
LED fittings last significantly longer than fluorescent or older technologies and require minimal maintenance. You’ll spend less on replacement lamps, ballasts and repairs. Your maintenance budget decreases while system reliability increases.
The Transformation
See The Difference LED makes
Most warehouses are running outdated fittings that waste energy and fail health & safety requirements. Here’s what changes.
Before — Legacy Lighting
- 400W metal halide fittings drawing excessive power
- 20-minute warm-up time, no instant restrike
- Below 100 lux at floor — failing CIBSE guidelines
- Constant lamp failures & expensive maintenance callouts
- No dimming or occupancy sensor capability
After — Ecolighting LED System
- 150–200W LED replacements — 50-80% energy reduction
- Instant on/off with zero warm-up delay
- Improved lux levels — meeting or exceeding CIBSE requirements
- 50,000+ hour rated life — 8+ years maintenance-free
- Integrated occupancy and daylight harvesting sensors to maximise efficiency
